The ‘Church in Schools’ initiative
The ‘Church in Schools’ initiative is part of the Bishop’s revised strategy to see 25 new school-based congregations established by 2025. The aim is for them to become fully church so as to enable those who attend an opportunity to be a part of a worshipping community without the need to go to the main church building.
We know that all are welcome to our church buildings but for those who struggle to enter or fit in with our timings, these new congregations can grow to be a real, meaningful, sacramental expression of church where those who grow in faith may worship, learn and serve together.
