The Church and the Environment
This section provides information on our work to care for God’s Earth and how you and your church can get involved.
For Christians, doing something about climate change is about living out our faith – caring for those who need help, our neighbours here at home or on the other side of the world, and taking responsibility for this planet that God created and entrusted to us. My faith tells me that God does want people to understand climate change and do something about it. And that is a very freeing thought: I don’t have to change the world all by myself, I just need to partner in the work God wants us to do.

A Rocha Eco Diocese
The Diocese of Sheffield is delighted to hold a Bronze Eco Diocese award. Eco Diocese encourages Dioceses to engage with Eco Church and to support churches to take part in the scheme. We are excited to build on this achievement to encourage a growing number of Eco Churches to continue loving and caring for God’s world.
