The brand new Faith in the North website has been officially launched as the Diocese of Sheffield and other dioceses across the Northern Province prepare to get involved with The Lord’s Prayer Tour in 2025.
The website is designed as a place to go for anyone looking to explore more about faith and our northern Christian heritage. It’s also a place for schools and churches to discover new resources, events and information, to support prayer, discipleship and mission.
On Wednesday 25 June 2025 Archbishop Stephen Cottrell will join us at Sheffield Cathedral, where he will speak about the ongoing relevance of the Lord’s Prayer in today’s world, encouraging everyone to live by its powerful, transformative words.
On 10 October 2025, Archbishop Stephen will be inviting people across the North of England to unite in saying the Lord’s Prayer together via a livestream link from Blackburn Cathedral. Don’t miss this moment to pray alongside others across the North of England.
To support this journey, free resources for the Lord’s Prayer tour, including music, leaflets, collective worship guides, and films, will be available on the Faith in the North website from January onwards. These resources are designed to help individuals, churches, and schools engage more deeply with the Lord’s Prayer and understand its significance.
