Parish, Deanery and Archdeaconry Development

The Parish Development Project (PDP). Led by Revd Richard Impey the PDP team aim to help parishes to discover their own ‘wisdom’ or understanding of how things are best done and how they can develop their own distinctive life and ministry as a healthy church. They work on a consultancy basis looking with a parish at its story, the congregational size, its sense of purpose and its world view.

Deanery Development. This is training and development agreed by each Deanery and delivered in the Deanery at a time and place determined by each Deanery. Examples of a training event are an evening of 4-5 workshops on role support or discipleship development; a Saturday morning with 4-5 workshops repeated twice or something else.

The Schools of ….. Programme. Two half-day conferences held one in each Archdeaconry on a theme such as healing or mission or worship etc. Usually involving a key note speaker and workshops this offers parish groups an opportunity to enrich their life, ministry and mission.

Parish Development: training and support is available from Ministry and Mission team members and there will be occasional training events during the year. Please consult the Ministry and Parish Development Programme for details.
