Youth ministry features this weekend int a course to be held at St Mary’s, Bramall Lane on Saturday 7 November (9 – 1.00) during a training session looking at how youth ministry is done in the Diocese.
The course is aimed at people involved in youth work wanting fresh ideas, or at people thinking of starting a youth group currently wanting guidance.
The course will be led by Gareth Wroe and Joe Houghton.
“We shall spend time looking at effective youth ministry strategy and how that applies to our individual situations. Seminars will focus on the role of parents in youth work and the role of a youth worker. We offer fresh ideas, the chance to share insights and find out how God wants to draw young people to himself through youth groups,” Trish Stafford, who is organising the event, said today.
Many churches in the Diocese of Sheffield have active, thriving youth groups and the course hopes to meet some of the needs of those leading them or currently looking to do so.
